Why do you want to be an ASA Ambassador?

When I am snowmobiling, nothing else matters. I am not thinking about finances, work, relationships; when I ride, I am truly present. Riding is my place of serenity, my place of adventure, and my place of excitement; I honestly couldn’t survive without it. Snowmobiling allows me to access beautiful places, and scenery that would otherwise be inaccessible. It allows me to be completely engulfed in nature, free to be whoever I want to be. But the best part about snowmobiling, is that it accepts everyone for who they are, and where they are, exactly in that moment; and what a profound thing that is to share with this incredible community. I could go on and on about my love for this sport, but I want to be an ASA ambassador, because I strive to share this message, and outlet with others.

How long have you been riding? I have been riding snowmobiles since I was old enough to hold a helmet on my head; so roughly 30 years of snowmobiling!

What is something we should know about you?Snowmobiling has not always been the blessing it is for me today. I had crashes and accidents throughout my motorsports journey that truly scared me; I never stopped riding, but in certain situations this anxiety held me back. It took lots of seat time, the right coaching, and most importantly, the patience to learn at my own pace, to really ignite my passion again. In saying this, remember that it doesn’t matter what you ride, where you ride, or how well you ride, what matters is that you are getting out there and doing something for not only yourself, but the memories that will be made along the way!

What was your first machine?

I shared a Kitty Cat sled with my sister when I was around 3 years old, moving up to a 1995 Skidoo Formula 583 by the time I was 7. Although, one of my favorite sleds growing up was a 1997 Polaris 700 RMK - now that sled climbed mountain tops!

What are you riding now?

2014 Skidoo Summit X 800R 163”.

Where is your favourite place in Alberta to ride?

The infamous golden triangle receives an incredible amount of snow each year. The perfectly groomed trails, that lead to warm toasty cabins, are lined with hidden pockets and powerlines of epic untouched snow. It really gives something for every level of rider. I personally love the Swan Hills area as they tend to get just a little bit extra fluff!
